Give your bathroom a handmade glow-up in this fun, beginner-friendly clay workshop, where you’ll create your own ceramic soap dish and matching cup holder
In this relaxed hand-building session, you’ll make a practical little set that’s also gorgeous to look at — a handmade upgrade for your sink space, and a lovely gift idea too.
We’ll guide you step-by-step as you shape your pieces from soft white earthenware clay, with tips on making a soap dish that works well (including space/ridges or drainage details to help your soap stay drier for longer) and a cup holder that feels balanced, sturdy and beautiful.
You’ll then decorate your pieces with underglaze colours and surface details to make them totally your own.
Keep it simple and chic, or go playful with textures, stamps, carving, patterns and painted designs.
Once your set is made, we’ll dry, fire, glaze and re-fire everything for you, ready to collect a few weeks later once fully finished.
This is a lovely workshop for complete beginners and returning clay lovers alike — practical, satisfying, and full of creative freedom. You’ll leave with handmade bathroom pieces that are useful every day and much cuter than anything off the shelf.
Duration: Approx 2 hours
Clay: White earthenware clay
Level: Beginner-friendly
Includes: Tuition, clay, use of tools, underglazes, glazing and firing
Collection: Ready to collect in approx. 4–6 weeks
