Private pottery bookings
Visiting Margate and fancy doing something hands-on? Or planning a small celebration, family get-together, or a children’s party with a creative focus?
You can book a private pottery session at Handmade Margate for your group. It’s relaxed, beginner-friendly, and guided step-by-step.
Enquiries: handmademargate@mail.com
What private sessions are like
You’ll have the studio to yourselves for the session, with plenty of guidance and a project that suits your group.
We offer handbuilding (pinch / coil / slab) because it’s accessible, satisfying, and works well for mixed ages.
We glaze and fire your pieces for you after the session, then you collect them once they’re ready or we can post for an additional cost.
Choose your private session
1) Private handbuilding session
Make a small piece from scratch (options depend on time and group): mug, small bowl, plant pot, trinket dish, tiles, candle sticks, wax burners, wall plant pockets or a seasonal project. Starting from £ 50pp for two hours
Best for: families, friends, mixed groups, hen parties that want something calm, visitors who want a unique keepsake.
2) Private mug session
A focused session where everyone makes a mug, then decorates it with underglaze. Starting from £50pp for two hours
Best for: visitors, birthdays, small groups who want a clear outcome.
3) Children’s pottery party
A structured session with a simple project that works for ages 5 plus, with time built in for decorating. Starting from £20per child for 1.5 hours
Best for: birthdays and family parties.
4) Private group booking
If you’re a larger group, a team day, or you want something very specific, email and we’ll plan it properly.
