Make your home smell amazing and look gorgeous with your own handmade ceramic oil / wax melt burner.
In this relaxed, beginner-friendly clay workshop, you’ll hand-build a beautiful burner from soft white earthenware clay — creating both the tealight base and the top dish for oils or wax melts. It’s the perfect mix of practical and decorative: a lovely little piece to use at home, gift to someone special, or proudly say “I made that” every time you light it.
You’ll be guided step-by-step through the whole process, from shaping and building your form to refining the details so it works well and looks beautiful. You can keep it simple and elegant, or make it more playful with cut-out shapes (so the candlelight glows through), texture, stamps, carving and decorative details.
Once your burner is built, you’ll decorate it with underglaze colours and surface details to make it completely your own — coastal, botanical, minimal, mystical… your call.
We’ll then dry, fire, glaze and re-fire your piece for you, ready to collect a few weeks later once fully finished.
This is a lovely workshop for complete beginners and returning clay lovers alike — calm, creative, and seriously satisfying. A small handmade object with big cosy energy.
Duration: 2.5 hours
Price: £48 pp
Clay: White earthenware clay
Level: Beginner-friendly
You’ll make: 1 hand-built oil / wax melt burner (tealight base + top dish)
